The MP3 Library:
Gospel
Music Section
The
gospel section of the MP3 library went online in 2001 with a
very rare and important selection of music. The recordings are
out-of-print recordings of the most important works of the
genre, those described in historical books on the subject.
These recordings, except for those made available by Austria's
pioneering musicologist, Johnny Parth, were not commercially
available, most never having been recorded on CD, and the
library immediately became very popular with those seeking
the music, some for over 20 years.
The
MP3 files were created by the DoveSong.com from
original recordings, the earlier music from 78 RPM records and
the later music from 45RPM and LP records.
We
have received an enthusiastic response to our making these
very important records available after an absences of, in some
cases, 60 and 70 years.
Black
Gospel Music
An
important music, we concentrate on the traditional, the root
and heart of the music that is so little known today and not
available. No CDs, etc. DoveSong has been brining it back,
with mail from people all over the Us and in Europe. We have
truly made an effect. Expansion will be this.
Eventually,
DoveSong would like to have sections representing the work of
the following artists. A brief description of the group or
singer would be included on each page:
